Abbie (Lett) Beadles, 88, of Newburgh, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Woodlands Golden Living Center. She was born April 22, 1922 in Henderson, Kentucky to William F. and Henrietta (Lindenberg) Knowles. She was a founding member of the Newburgh Church of the Nazarene and played the piano and organ for her church. She worked at the State Hospital for many years in the housekeeping department. Abbie was a volunteer at Woodlands for 20 years and in 2001 was the recipient of the Newburgh Outstanding Citizen Award. She also enjoyed crafts. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Edward Otis; husband, Oral Beadles; grandson, Paul D. Abbie is survived by two sons, James (Martha) Lett of Boonville and Paul (Lisa) Lett of Chandler; eight grandchildren, Sandy (Jeremy), Boonville, Rodney (Heather), Elberfeld, Tony, Evansville, Jayma (Chad), Arkansas, Chelsea, Indianapolis, Brandon, Alison, and Caitlin all of Chandler; eleven great-grandchildren, Landon, Braden, Angelique, Anna, Remington, Lallie, Mila, Jack, Nevaeh, Javion, and Lily. A specials thanks from the family to the staff at Woodlands and Heritage Hospice. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 29, 2010 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Indiana. Reverend Dennis King will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, November 28, 2010 and Monday 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Newburgh Church of the Nazarene.
