Abbie Mae Rohrscheib, age 75, of Newburgh, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1936 in Newburgh to Carese & Rachel (Crawford) Allen. She married Edward Eugene Rohrscheib on February 14, 1953. They were married 51 years and had five children; Linda Dillingham (Alan), Charles Rohrscheib (Sandy), Alan Wayne Rohrscheib (Rebecca), Tammy Baumeyer (Dirk), Tracy Rohrscheib (Jamie). Abbie was a member of Mt. Olive General Baptist Church in Newburgh and very active in the Women's Missionary Society at her church. She loved being with family and friends, her garden and traveling. She enjoyed taking care of people, their pets and helping in any way. Abbie was a wonderful person she touched many lives throughout her life and will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Her survivors include 5 children, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, siblings, Betty Gelhausen, Johnnie Allen, and Peggy Waters. A funeral service will be held for Abbie at 10 AM, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN., with the Rev. Ken Slater officiating, burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2011, and from 9 AM till time of service on Wednesday, October 5 at the funeral home.
