Adrian Smith, Jr., 90, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital.  He was born on January 13, 1927 in Mt. Vernon to the late Adrian Smith, Sr. and Nora Katherine (Claybrook) Smith Ryan.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the church food bank/clothing club and belonged to several camping clubs.  Adrian was a racing enthusiast and a past president of the Hoosier Auto Racing Club and in 1958 was the track champion at Tri-State Speedway.  He was a member of the Teamsters Union since 1949.  He retired after 23 years of cross country driving for Signal Delivery Service and later drove 10 years for Morgan Drive Way.

Adrian is survived by his wife of 64 years, Billie Jo (Walker) Smith; two daughters, Doris Temme of Kokomo, IN and Wanda Webber (David) of Cape Coral, FL; brother, Harold Clem of Evansville; four grandchildren, Michael and Mathew Temme, Scott and Wendy Webber; seven great-grandchildren, Zackary, Russell, Alexandra, Kelsey, Katelyn, Kristen Temme, and Mattingly Webber.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Eugene Clem; son-in-law, Alvin C. Temme.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN (812)424-9288.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist Church Clothing Fund.
