Alma Inez McAdams Mills, 100, of Amarillo, TX, formerly of Evansville, IN passed away June 14, 2018. She was born September 26, 1917 in Vian, OK to James and Clara Pierce. Her parents had moved from Indiana to Oklahoma in 1907. She was raised at her family farm near Gore, OK. After graduating from high school she returned to Indiana and married her first husband, Waldo McAdams in 1940. They had two sons, Ronald and Darrell and she helped raise her step-daughter, Peg. After Waldo’s death in 1966 she moved to Amarillo where she married her second husband, Charles A. Mills. She lived the remainder of her life in Amarillo. Inez was a homemaker and active in volunteer work. She started the bridge club at the Amarillo Senior Citizens association. She also delivered meals on wheels and worked on the food line.
She is survived by her two sons, Ronald McAdams (Susan McCune) of Big Timber, Montana, and Darrell McAdams of Amarillo; granddaughter, Claire E. McAdams and two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Grady Grandfield; nephew, Don Hodge of Evansville.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville.
