Anna Ruby Marie (Halwes, Wheaton) McClure, 95, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at home in Gillette Wyoming.  She was born June 27, 1922 in Elberfeld, Indiana to Henry and Hannah (Meier) Halwes. She lived in Elberfeld for most of 90 years with brief years in Evansville IN and San Bernardino CA.  The last 3 years were spent in Gillette WY.  She lived with Darlene and Jeff Chapman for the last 10 years.  She was a member of Black Oak Extension Homemakers Club since 1951.  She enjoyed singing with the Musical Dozen group as well as gardening and horseback riding.  Her earliest job was at Servel in Evansville during WW2.  

She was Confirmed at Zion Evangelical Church, and was a  member of Nobles Chapel United Methodist Church. 

Ruby was preceded in death by husband, Owen Wheaton of 27 years in 1972, and husband, Lonnie McClure of 32 years in 2008.

She was preceded in death by siblings Arthur, Nola, Dorothy, Otto, Leroy, Eugene and her son Gary Wheaton.  Also preceding her was nephew, Don (Pete) Halwes and niece, Arlene (Halwes) Oster.  

She is survived by daughter, Darlene (Jeff) Chapman and step-daughter, Deborah (Kenny) Nelson; grandchildren, Christopher Wheaton, Marc (Susie) Chapman, Kendra (Nick) Castiglione; step- granddaughter, Donna Nelson.  Surviving great grandchildren: Oliver and Emma Chapman and Step- great grandchildren, Logan Overby and Autumn Burton; She is survived by nephew, Michael Halwes and niece, Doris Lee Halwes, and cousin, Edna (Halwes) Kohlmeyer.  She is survived by 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews.

Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Nobles Chapel Church,  Elberfeld IN with visitation from 9am to 11am at the church.  Pastors Rick Gooden and Steve Oeth will officiate.  Burial will be at Nobles Chapel Cemetery.  In place of flowers, donations can be made to Nobles Chapel Cemetery.
