Anthony B. Cox "Tony" of Newburgh
Tony Cox, 50, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at
home.
He was born April 29, 1960, in Evansville to Thomas R. & Elizabeth
(Mohr) Cox. Tony graduated from Castle High School in 1978. He was in
car sales for over 25 years working for Romain Buick and Kenny Kent
Toyota. He received salesman of the year 15 times and was the youngest
recipient of the Buick Sales master Green Jacket Award, which is awarded
to the Top 50 Salesman of the U.S. Tony was also involved with the family
businesses, Lucky Streak Horse Farm which raises and races thoroughbred
horses throughout the U.S., and Michaele Anthony Antiques in Newburgh.
His membership includes H.P.B.A. and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
in Newburgh.
Tony is survived by his wife, Michaele Latham-Cox; mother,
Elizabeth Cox; daughter, Alexandria Cox; son, Montana Halterman, all of
Newburgh; father, Thomas R. Cox of Indianapolis; uncle, Frank (Dottie) Mohr
of Newburgh; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks from the
family to Tony's caregiver, Randy Heck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October
16, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd, Newburgh.
Father Joseph Ziliak will officiate and inurnment will be held at a later date at
St. John the Baptist Mausoleum. Visitation is 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday,
October 15, 2010, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W.
Jennings St, Newburgh, (812) 853-8314, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Additional visitation will be 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at church.
