Asia Nicole Higgins

Asia Nicole Higgins, 40, of Evansville IN transitioned to her Eternal home on January 19, 2025 At Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

She was born on September 13, 1984 in Evansville IN to her mother, Vicky Higgins. Asia attended Bosse High School. She enjoyed dancing, laughing and going out to eat with her friends Ashley, Nikki and April. She also enjoyed working with children throughout her life. Asia always kept a job – Captain D’s, Hebron after-school care, Ozan Family Shelter, and the Vanderburgh County Health Department, until her health declined.

Asia is survived by her mother, Vicky Higgins; father, Zackary Scott; sister, Samara Higgins; grandmother, Velma Brown; grandfather, Earl McNary; niece, Sugar (the dog); aunts, Stephanie (Milton) Norman, Yvonne Brown, Marlyce (Earl) Hardwick, Marlo Brooks, Christa (Melvin) Amerson, and Tina Poindexter; and her uncle, Steve Brown. Asia was preceded in death by her uncle, Juan (Marlo) Brooks. Asia was loved by many, many cousins.

We, the family, would like to thank Asia’s loving, dedicated Nana, Velma Brown, for being the strength Asia needed throughout her life’s journey. We also would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Anthony Stephens and his staff, as well as the ascension staff including all doctors, nurses and technicians on the East 6th Floor.

A Funeral Service in Asia’s honor will be held on Saturday, February 1 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Meyer Chapel in Evansville, IN. A Visitation will also take place on the same day, before the Funeral Service, from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, immediately following the Funeral Service on Saturday.
