Beatrice Ferstel Koch Duckworth, 81, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Tuesday July 6, 2010 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 28, 1928 in Newburgh, Indiana to Susie and John Ferstel. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper in Evansville. She also served as the president of the Dexter School PTA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl, and her brother John Henry Ferstel. Bea is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Roger Lang of Pompton Plains, NJ, her granddaughter and husband, Erin Lang and Daniel Brown of NY, NY, her grandson and wife, Russell Lang and Erin Dittus, of NY, NY and grandson Brendan Lang of Boston, MA, her two great-grandchildren Emily and Colin Brown, her daughter Kris Proctor and granddaughter Katie Proctor of Evansville. She is also survived by Carl's children Marc and Veda Duckworth and Ben and Cheryl Duckworth of Evansville, Carla and Bruce Angel, and Tracy and John Silver all of Newburgh, in addition to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Helen Simpson of Newburgh and Irene Limberger of Evansville. Her family would like to thank all the wonderful and caring nurses and staff at the Cypress Rehabilitation Center. They certainly made her last month's peaceful and were extremely supportive of her family. A funeral service is 3 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St, Newburgh, Ind. (812) 853- 8314. Visitation is 1 p.m. to service time.
