Bettie June Tremper, 74, formerly of Friendship, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly Friday, August 1, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born June 14, 1940, in Marion, Kentucky, to Charles and Nelda (Lowey) Duvall. Bettie was a hairstylist and taught at beauty school. She enjoyed painting, playing Yahtzee, and the piano. Bettie was the most caring and unselfish person and she put everyone else before herself especially her children and grandchildren, they were her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Tremper; and siblings, James, Charles, Richard, and Verlie Franks.
Bettie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Etheridge (Lee); son, Shawn Tremper (Ramona); grandchildren, Haley, Logan, Charlize, and Gavin Etheridge; Courtney, Cody, Chase, and Chance Tremper; great-grandchild, Nevaeh. Also surviving are siblings, Steve Duvall, Carolyn Casper (Gerald), Donald Duvall; sisters-in-law, Kay Duvall, Pam Duvall; nieces and nephews; and best friend, Charlotte Ricci.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon, Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Indiana (812) 853-8314. Rev. Kevin Reed will officiate. Bettie will be laid to rest next to her husband Charles, in Rosebud Cemetery, Marion, Kentucky, following the service at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
