Billy Lee Kruse, 80, of Elberfeld, Indiana, passed away Saturday, September
24,2011, at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Bill was born in Warrick County, Indiana, on October 4, 1930, to Robert and Nora
(Seebode) Kruse. He was Postmaster in Elberfeld, Indiana for 30 years until his
retirement, and was an agent and member of the Board of Directors of Mutual
Insurance Association of Southern Indiana. He was a lifelong member of Nobles
Chapel United Methodist Church, National League of Postmasters Association, a
Korean War Veteran and lifetime member of American Legion Post 351, Elberfeld
Kiwanis, and former member of the Elberfeld Volunteer Fire Department.
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beverly J. (Reibel) Kruse of Elberfeld, Ind.;
children, Linda Minto (Jeff) and Brett Kruse (Julie) both of Newburgh, Brenda Walton
(Jerry) of Elberfeld, Karla Kaczmarski (Phil) of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Chad Kruse
(Lacey) of Springfield, Illinois; grandchildren, Paul Kruse (Stacey), Shawn Kruse
(Jessica), Andrea Boyle (Jesse), Amber Walton, Jonathon, Daniel and Michael
Kaczmarski, and Zoe Minto; great-grandsons, Wyatt, Robert, Grant, Mason and
Andrew Kruse.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Nobles
Chapel United Methodist Church, 5478 E. 1250 South, Elberfeld, Indiana. Reverend
Lisa Ressler and Reverend Steve Oeth will officiate. Burial will be in Nobles Chapel
Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by the Elberfeld American
Legion. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at
Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Streets, Elberfeld,
Indiana, and on Wednesday 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
