Bobbie Lee Chase, 85, of Newburgh passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born September 27, 1933 to Pat and Modena (McCuiston) Ross in Murray, KY. Bobbie retired from the Evansville State Hospital after 17 years as a nurse's aide.
Our mother was a true matriarch of the family teaching us unconditional love and respect for others as well as ourselves. She was of the southern Baptist faith and accepted God as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a wonderful cook and never turned away anyone from the table. There was always enough for whoever showed up. She was a good daughter and caregiver for her parents. She loved gardening and growing all types of flowers, and especially loved spending time with family and friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles C. "Pee Wee" Chase; brother, Patty Ross; niece, Julie Ross.
Survivors include children, Tommy Chase (Rita), whom she always thought of as another daughter, Nancy Chase, Ross Chase, Jamie Kinney (Shawn); grandson, John Lee Chase (Amanda), great-grandchildren, Tomi (Amy), Justus (Gracie), Pryce, Peyton, Bryson, Tyler, Devin, Savanna, Dakota, Kate-Lynn; two great great-grandchildren, Isiah and Neviah; brother, Alex Ross; cousin, Johnnye Rohner; uncle, Billy Brinkley; niece, Sherry Mayden; nephew, John Ross; numerous cousins.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN 47630 (812) 853-8314.
