Bobby Joe Smith, 76, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Owensboro Health Hospital. He was born on March 23, 1938 in Paradise, IN to the late Roy M. Smith, Sr. and Betty J. (Gardner) Smith. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1956. Bobby Joe lived in Chrisney, IN for 47 years, leaving many good friends. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum after 29 years. He enjoyed farming, gardening and hunting and especially being with his best buddy, his dog, Billy Joe Bob. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy M. Smith, Jr. MD, and Ronnie Smith. Bobby Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann R. (Baker) Smith; daughter, Sheryl A. Pund (Ronald); son, Jed M. Smith (Lynn); grandchildren, Beau Pund (Alice), Brodie Pund (Sara), Brooke Garrett (Gil), Bryce Pund (Nicole), Jessica D. Lyons, Ty Smith, Garrett Smith, Dalton Smith, Cheyenne Smith, Madison Smith, and Chase Smith; eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Newburgh Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314, burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014 and Tuesday morning 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
