Brenda Copeland, 70, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Deaconess Hospital. She was the widow of Tom Copeland. They shared 32 wonderful years together. Brenda was born August 11, 1949 from Kingsport, Tennessee; she was the daughter of George and Nancy. She retired from Woodbridge nursing home as a CMA, and continued to work by spreading her pristine touch cleaning several homes over the last several years. She loved spending time with her family, watching soap operas, playing cards, cleaning, and drinking coffee. She will always be remembered for her loving and selfless personality. She was always willing to go the extra mile for all her loved ones, and everyone that knew her admired her for her motivational and inspirational spirits. She was not one to complain, and was always someone that was one hundred percent dependable through any situation. She is survived by six children Nancy (Pat), Freddie (Cindy), Randy, Tammy, Tina, and Carla (Jeff). Her grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Nichole, Jordan, Karrie, Randy, Krystle , Jonathon, Emma, Thomas, and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and beloved Yorkie (Jelly). In her famous words, “Remember me with smiles and laughter for that’s the way I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears then don’t remember at all.” The family would like to extend a thank you to Kelsey Turner, RN, Tracie Loehr, NP, Amy Samples, RN and Kirk Rowe (chaplain) for the exceptional and compassionate care provided to her and the family during her last day with us.
