Brenda Daniels was born on October 3,1947 in Roanoke, VA to Archie and Virginia Jones and grew up in a large, loving family. Her intelligence and diligence carried her to Fisk University where she graduated with honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Brenda moved to Evansville, IN in 1969 where she met and married her husband, Cliff. That same year, she began her career at Bristol-Myers Squibb. She would eventually become Human Resources Benefits Manager and retired in 2005 after 36 years of service. In retirement, she was extensively involved with the Susan B. Koman Foundation and was a part of the volunteer programs at the CK Newsome Center.
Brenda enjoyed reading, community service and spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren. Her amazing smile, warm laugh and kind nature made her a beacon of love. She touched and inspired so many with her generosity. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, loyal friend and a phenomenal person.
On October 3, 2019, God called His angel home. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 49 years, Cliff; children, Cliff (Darcie) and Matt (Courtney); grandchildren, Kai, Asha, Stella and Ivy; siblings, Linda Lambert (Roger), Pamela Harris (Teddy), Archie Skates (Becky), Maurice Skates (Chrissy); cousin, JoAnna Fuller (Charlie) and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
A service celebrating Brenda’s life will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Koman Foundation.
