Carolyn "Kate" J. Wilkerson

Carolyn “Kate” J. Wilkerson, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18 2025 at Woodlands Care Center in Newburgh, IN.

Carolyn was born on January 17 1937 to Hansel and Bernice Curts in Saint Francisville, IL. She attended Owensville High School. Soon after she started her family and pursued a fulfilling career as a beautician after her girls were older.  

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Hansel and Bernice; nephew, Steve Sowder; and her sister Delores Sowder. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Carla (Jerry) Sprinkle and Teresa (Mark) Bohnert; grandchildren Jason Dilbeck, Jerrad Sprinkle, Jamie Angermeier, Cody Schmit, Cale Schmit; great-grandchildren Leah Shrewsberry, Hunter Angermeier, Lucas Schmit and Hannah Schmit; niece Kim Loeffler; nephews, Steven Sowder and David Michael Sowder; and great-grandmother Maggie Deckard.

According to Carolyn’s wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart To Heart Hospice.
