walking with his friends, cheering for his favorite football teams and having Sunday
breakfast with his family. His other passions included being coach of "Barney's Boy's"
softball team and being a Cub Scout Den Leader and Boy Scout Troup Leader.
In 2003, Barney was honored when his grandson Joseph dedicated his first published
book, Beyond the Ruins to his grandfather.
Barney had many talents and passions throughout his life but nothing more
passionate than the love he had for his wife, Catherine. Their love for each other was
immeasurable and they enjoyed traveling to Florida and going to Fancy Farm and
other locations throughout Kentucky and Indiana. Their life together was truly a love
story.
He was determined to be the best husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a
