Charles Clayton Hornby, 93, of Evansville
passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the
Heritage Center Health Care in Evansville.
Charles was born December 13, 1914 to
John William Hornby and Lusetta Ann (Erk)
Hornby in Evansville, IN. He graduated from
Reitz High School. He retired from
Whirlpool after about 20 years and he was
also a farmer. He was a member of New
Jerusalem United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents
John and Lusetta Hornby, his wife Mildred

Virgil Hornby and Bill Hornby, sister,
Margaret Deweese.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Joann
Justus of Evansville, granddaughter, Lisa G
Emory (Ronald), grandson, Charles W
Justus (Sherri) of Evansville, 5 great
grandchildren, Amanda Gudorf, Andrew
Emory, Brandon, Brittany and Lexie Justus,
and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Lindsay
Justus and Wyatt Gudorf.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 10,
2008 at 10 a.m. at Titzer Family Funeral
Homes, Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100
E. Columbia St., Evansville, IN, the Rev.
Jim Thompson will officiate. Entombment
will be in Locust Hill Mausoleum.
Visitaion will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday,
May 9, 2008 and from Saturday, 9 a.m. to
time of service at Titzer Family Funeral
Homes-Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel.
