Charles E. Calvert

Charles E. Calvert, of Evansville, IN, went home to be with his Lord and his family on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House.  He was born on February 26, 1935 to Isaac Clinton and Muriel (Stevens) Calvert in Island, KY.  He graduated from Central High School.  Charles was of the Christian Faith and was baptized in California.  He served in the United States Navy and served on the USS Saipan CVL-48.  He was a member of VFW #1114.  He was working at JC Penny through Prestige Maintenance.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 55 years, Clara; son, Robert Calvert; brothers, Sherman, Mindol, Gene, James, Jackie, and Robert (Fred); sisters, Loretta, Louise, and Lorraine.  He is survived by children, Larry Calvert, Angela Rupprecht (Drew), Elizabeth Hatcher (Jack), and Richard Calvert; seven grandchildren, Carina Liley (Jeremy), Jessi Reisbeck (Doni), Matthew Wilhite, Marisa Rupprecht, Sidnee Calvert, Drake Calvert, and Haleigh Bennett (Jake); three great-grandchildren, Clara Wilhite, Kaden Wilhite, and Corben Reisbeck; several nieces and nephews.
