Charles “Fred” Solomon

Charles W. Solomon, age 80, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Solarbron Terrace in Evansville. He was born on August 9, 1941 in Cadiz, Kentucky to the late Jack and Lillian (Kennedy) Solomon.

Charles was a United States Army veteran serving overseas in Korea. He worked in the pot room and thermal department for 33 years at Alcoa. He was an avid boater for some 40 plus years and was also an animal lover.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Charles is survived by son, Shawn Solomon (Anne), son, Michael Solomon (Darla), grandchild, Ashley Marts (Eric), great granddaughter, Stella Marts, two brothers; Jackie Solomon (Mindy) and Jimmy Solomon (Patty). A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 18, 2022 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN 47630 (812) 853-8314.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery 5133 State Route 261, Newburgh, IN with Full Military Rites Conducted.
