Charles William “Chance” Brock, III, of Chandler, IN passed away, Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Select Hospital in Evansville. He was born June 6, 1972 in Evansville to Charles William and Alice V. (Knott) Brock. Chance was a Castle High School graduate and was a truck driver for 1st Class Trucking in Lewisport, KY.
Chance is survived by his wife, Pamela; daughters, Shelbey Allen, Shelbi (Brock) Ingram; grandson, Kaidan Hicks; sister, Lydia Brock; and several other brothers, sisters, and family.
Early Sunday morning, we lost the most honest, blunt, caring, stubborn, and humorous man we've known. He taught us how to thicken our skin and stick up for ourselves. He showed us that if someone loves you, flaws won’t matter to them. He encouraged us to chase our dreams.
It’s bitter sweet, his passing. Although we all miss him so very much, it’s also a relief knowing he’s no longer in pain. Chance didn’t want to be remembered for the bed ridden man in the end. He wanted to be remembered for his vulgar humor and sharp personality.
So instead of lingering on all that is lost, we’re going to carry on his legacy. And we’ll continue to remember how encouraging and inspiring that man was.
You were an amazing father, friend and husband. You’re always on our minds and forever in our hearts.
