Charlie Brooks of Evansville
Charlie Brooks, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on October 20,
2012. He was born January 19, 1922 in Johnson City, IL to the late Jesse
and Mary (Pinrod) Brooks. Charlie served 4 years in the United States
Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked for and retired from the
Evansville Water Department and was an active member of his church.
Charlie is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 66 years, Mary K. Brooks;
granddaughter, Sara Beth; great-grandchildren, Kahla and Josh; great-
great grandchildren, Austin and Savannah. Besides his parents, he was
preceded in death by his only daughter, Phyllis Jean.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012 at
Pilgrim Holiness Church, 2714 E. Riverside Dr. Evansville, IN. Brother
John Zeigler will officiate with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery
with full military rites conducted by the Vanderburgh County Retired
Veterans Club Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012
at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St.
Evansville, IN, and Thursday morning 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
