Clyde Thomas Hall, 83, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away, November 4, 2016, at his home. He was born October 9, 1933, in Newburgh to Alfred and Ruth (Wood) Hall.
Clyde was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army and served in Europe for 3 years. He retired from Silgan Container after 39 ½ years. He was a member of the American Legion Kapperman Post #44; attended Townsend Bible Church; and was a former member of the Newburgh Jaycees.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bobby Gene Hall, Alfred (Pee Wee) Hall, Barbara Ann Courter, and Jane Huddleston.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 61 ½ years, Victoria A. (Barton) Hall; children, Cynthia Diane Sarver (Terry), Brian Thomas Hall (Susan), Cecelia Doreen Mehling (Paul); grandchildren, David Hall, Jenna Austill (Ryan), Danielle Tucker (Zach), Katelyn, Kendra, Kirsten, and Korissa Mehling; great-grandchildren, Bailee Tucker, Lucas Austill, Bennett Tucker; and sister, Wanda Lee Moesner.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2016, with visitation beginning at 12 p.m., at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. Pastor Mike Ward will officiate and burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with full Military Rites.
