Dale Alan Bivens, 70, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at his home in Newburgh. He was born on August 9, 1948 to Austin and Madelyn (Green) Bivens in Alton, IL. He was an army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Dale was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. He retired after 40 years as an engineer specializing in underground construction. Dale is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathy; sons, Thomas W. (Susan), Steve M. (Christy), Justin P.; daughter, Jessie A. Bivens; grandchildren, Adelaide, Drew, Nedalia, Max, and Madelyn; brother, Jim (Linda) Bivens; nieces, Ann and Beth. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess Hospice or Cancer Research. Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel is assisting the family.
