Danny Ray Hampton, 70, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at the Linda White Hospice Care Facility on Thursday, March 6th, 2025.
Danny was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 4th, 1954, to the late John and Wilma Hampton. He grew up in Indiana with his mother but loved spending summers in Illinois with his father. He attended North High School in Evansville, Indiana, and had a keen talent for rebuilding and restoring old vehicles, specifically 1954 Chevrolets. Danny could rebuild a car from the ground up. He loved listening to Alice Cooper, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved dog, Ava Lee.
He is survived by his nieces, Laura Hampton Vandiver (Craig) and Krista Hampton Gish (Josh), and his grandnieces and nephews Austin B. Holland, Alexa L. Goff, Drake K. Vandiver, Madelynn J. Gish, and Carrlee J. Vandiver as well as a great-nephew Rowynn C. Hazel. He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Hampton, his mother, Wilma J. Hampton, and his brother, John D. Hampton.
Danny will be remembered as loving and fun to be around. A service is not being held at this time. Condolences may be made to Danny's family on the Titzer Family Funeral Homes website. All arrangements are in the care of Titzer Family Funeral Homes.
