Darlene Daywalt, 82, of Elberfeld, passed away, Monday, February 7, 2011
at her residence. She was born October 29, 1928 in Evansville to Jesse Earl
and Ina Merle (Hancock) Trible. She was a homemaker and attended
Barnett Chapel Church for 53 years. She was a member and past president
of the Indiana Rural Letter Carriers Auxiliary and the Warrick Weekend
Wanderers Camping Club.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Walter Daywalt; two daughters,
Wendy Johnson (Hugh) of Moul ton, AL, and Lu Ann Rounder (Mike) of
Evansville; four grandchildren, Janet McAbee , Melanie Johnson, Reece and
Reed Rounder; three great- grandchildren, Marlee, Sam, and Maria McAbee;
five sisters, Mary Jane Todd, Mildred Ann Gilliland, Lovena LaGrange,
Margaret Branson, and Gail Quraishi.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Barnett
Chapel in Elberfeld with burial in the church cemetery. Reverends Steve
Oeth and Don Williams will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8
p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman
Chapel, 2nd. & Elm Streets Elberfeld, IN. (812) 983-4211. Additional
visitation on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to time of service at the church.
