David W. Kirsch

David Wilford Kirsch, 81, of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. He was born February 26, 1943, in Evansville, IN, to the late Daniel “Dan” and Vernell (Gower) Kirsch. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Darlene (McDowell) Kirsch and brother Timothy Kirsch of Lynnville, IN. 

David was a graduate of Millersburg High School, he was a retired welder for George Koch Sons in Evansville, IN and previously worked at Ayrshire Mine in Chandler, IN. He was a retired long-time member of the Ohio Township Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He loved St Louis Cardinal’s baseball, fishing, rebuilding garden tractors, and spending time with his family. 

David is survived by his children, Lisa Cannon (Rick), Charles Kirsch (Gretchen), John Kirsch (Taunya) of Newburgh, IN. and Richard Kirsch (Peggy) of Danville, IN. Grandchildren, Christopher Cannon (Brittany), Mitchell Cannon (Kelsey), Nicholas Kirsch, Greg Kirsch (Kiera), Grace Kirsch, Megan Orth, Ryan Orth (Ann Marie), Taylor Kirsch, Jordyn Kirsch, Kalah Gray (Jeffrey), Dylin Kirsch (Madi), Logan Kirsch, Tanner Kirsch, David Neville (Anna) and Matthew Neville (Lily) and fourteen great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314. Burial will be in St. John's the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Newburgh, IN. 

A public visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in memory of David.
