David Lee Bethel of Evansville
David Lee Bethel, 64, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at
Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born in Evansville on December
22, 1948 to the late William and Evelyn Marie (Palmer) Bethel.
He graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1966. He formerly worked at
Evansville Printing Corp in the composing room and in 1998 he retired
from US Banc Source. David was a member of St. John the Evangelist
Catholic Church and was an EMT and volunteer fireman for the Scott and
McCutchanville Fire Departments. He loved NASCAR.
David is survived by his wife, Donna (Bloodworth) Bethel; son, Brian Lee
Bethel (Jody) of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Briana Janel Ormes
(Kenneth) of Noblesville, Ind.; two grandchildren, Kale Martin and Mason
Lee Ormes; sister Karen Ann Seib (Dennis) of Newburgh; and other
extended family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday May 3, 2013 at St.
John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5301 Daylight Drive, Evansville, Ind.
Rev. Fr. Jason Gries will officiate with burial to follow in St. John Cemetery,
Elberfeld, Ind. Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday May 1,
2013 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100
E. Columbia St. Evansville, Ind. (812)424-9274. Additional visitation will be
held Friday morning, 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
