Dennis Christopher McLaughlin, 29, of Newburgh, Indiana, formerly of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, March 5, 2021.

Dennis was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Irene Chapman and grandparents William McLaughlin, Carmel McLaughlin and Roger Chapman.

Dennis was born on January 16, 1992 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Castle High School in 2014.   Dennis also attended Stockwell Elementary and Boonville Junior High.  Dennis had currently been attending a wonderful ARC adult day program which he loved and looked forward to each day.

Dennis led a blessed, happy life, but one that also had its many challenges.  He was fortunate to always have a team of dedicated doctors, teachers, and respite staff and a wonderfully supportive and loving extended group of family and friends.

A special thank-you to Dr. Bruce Shelton, of Evansville who had provided Dennis such wonderful care for many years.  Also thank you to Drs. Raghav Gupta and Ahmed Jawad and all the nurses, technicians, and support staff at Deaconess Heart Center for providing him such loving and compassionate care.  Also, a special thanks to Dungarvin and Bridges for providing such wonderful respite care workers for Dennis over the years.

Dennis is survived by his father and stepmother Ron & Cindy (Braker) McLaughlin of Newburgh and mother and stepfather Kathy (Chapman) and Bob Hirsch of Carmel, Indiana; brother Michael (Kristin) McLaughlin of Evansville, Grandmother Georgia Chapman of Evansville and Sarasota; Uncle Jim (Jenny) Chapman; and Aunt Denise Chapman Bartholomew of Evansville and Cecelia Casselberry of Baton Rouge; cousins Ashley Bartholomew, Joseph Casselberry, Jordan (Colleen) Chapman and Abbey Chapman.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Titzer Family Funeral Home, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh IN. 47630 on Wednesday, March 10 from 3 to 5 PM. followed by a with a Celebration of Life Mass at 5 PM. Interment at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana at a later date.
