Dolores “Dee” Wagner, 91, died peacefully at home in Newburgh, Indiana on March 6, 2025.
She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Joseph and Josephine (Musso) Marks. Dee worked as a nurse for many years, and her caring and compassionate nature touched the lives of her patients. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Dee loved spending time with her family, both locally and in New Orleans. An avid NFL fan, Dee was an even greater fan of every member of her family. Through the years, she could be found at many Castle events cheering on her grandchildren in all their activities. Dee believed that laughter is the best medicine in life, and she could brighten anyone's day with her sense of humor. Dee will be missed by her dear family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Musso and Josephine (Musso) Marks; stepfather, Henry Marks; sister, Doris Doyle; brother-in-law, Leo Doyle; and son-in-law, Don Kramer. Dee is survived by her husband of 68 years, Gene Wagner; two children, Nancy Kramer and Ray (Connie) Wagner; four grandchildren, Ashley (Brandon) Powell, Katie (Travis) Schneider, Courtney (Kurt) Wasson, and Zach (Karaline) Wagner; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Blake Powell; and many beloved relatives.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a prayer and Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Simpson Chapel 510 W Jennings St Newburgh IN. The Nursing Honor Guard of Southern Indiana will be making a special presentation before the Prayer Service begins. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 13 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh, IN, with additional visitation for one hour prior to Mass. Inurnment will follow the Mass directly, at St. John’s Mausoleum on Frame Rd Newburgh IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice and Village Caregiving for their incredible care and compassion.
