Donald E. Shults Donald E. Shults, 88, of Newburgh, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Cypress Grove Rehab Center. He was born September 8, 1920 in Dundern, Canada, to Roy and Veneta (Wright) Shults, and was raised in Centerpoint, Indiana. He joined the US Air Force and is a veteran of WWII receiving the bronze star. He retired from Amax Coal after 45 years, and was a member of Newburgh United Methodist Church. Donald is preceded in death by his parents and his infant son, Phillip Edward in 1942. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Virginia, three children, Donna Bawel (Skip), Barbara McCullough (Bob), Michael Shults, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sisters, Mary Jane Clough, and Judy Kay Woods. A memorial service for Donald is 4:30 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Newburgh United Methodist Church, 4178 SR 261, Newburgh, friends may call from 3:30 p.m. till service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newburgh United Methodist Church Food Pa ntry. Arrangements are being handled by Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W.
