Donald J. Titzer

Donald Joseph Titzer, 83, of Boonville, IN, passed away, Thursday, July 2, 2020 at home. He was born on August 13, 1936 in Evansville, IN to the late Ben and Irene Titzer.

Don graduated from Memorial High School in 1954. He served in the United States Army. 

Don married his late wife who passed away October 28,2019, Bonnie L. (Johnston) Titzer on September 21, 1963 and they were married 56 years.   

Don retired from Whirlpool in 1997 after many years in maintenance.  He also worked many years at St. Clement Catholic Church.

He enjoyed fishing, pitching horseshoes, gardening, making wine, riding his golf cart and watching his grandkids play sports. 

Don was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Titzer and son-in-law, John Burger.  

He is survived by his, daughter, Cathy Burger, son, Brian Titzer (Tammy), daughter, Jane Harpenau (Jeff); nine grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia, Emily, Caleb Burger, Abbey, Rachel Titzer, Nathan, Carly, and Megan Harpenau;   

Siblings, Tom (Linda) Titzer, Emily (Dave) Utterback, John (Beverly) Titzer, Mike (Patricia) Titzer, Diane (Sepp Schwarl) Titzer, Mark (Sunny) Titzer, sister-in-law, Bonnie Coker, many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at St. Clement Catholic Church, 422 E. Sycamore St. Boonville, IN 47601.  Rev. Fr. Lowell Will officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh IN 47630 (812) 853-8314 and on Tuesday morning 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
