Donald L. Kingsbury, 80, of Elberfeld, passed away, Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Cypress Grove Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born in Evansville on January 11, 1930 the son of Jack and Mary (Morell) Kingsbury. He was a press operator and was formerly employed by Shanes, Dale Sales and General Rubber. He was an army veteran and a member of the Elberfeld American Legion. Donald loved to bowl and enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Vernita; two brothers, Jack Jr., and William Kingsbury. Donald is survived by sons, David C. Kingsbury of Elberfeld and Donald V. Kingsbury and his wife, Kathy of Haubstadt; grandchildren, Amanda and Brittany Kingsbury of Elberfeld, Jason Kingsbury of Evansville, and Kelly Kingsbury of Haubstadt; sisters, Dorothy Engelbrecht and her husband, Rob of Evansville, JoAnn Gansman and her husband, James of Evansville, and Marie Neufelder and her husband, Larry of Ft. Branch. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, IN. Pastor Steve Oeth will officiate. Burial will follow in Nobles Chapel Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Elberfeld American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2010 and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be made to the family @www.titzerfuneralhomes.com.
