Doretha Louise Elliott, 87, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, November 3,
2009, at home.
She was born in Evansville on September 20, 1922 to Ivan L. and Rose
(Hazlitt) Bennett. Doretha worked at Mead Johnson in the nutrition
department for 15 years and was a member of Westside Christian Church.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will
be dearly missed.
Doretha is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ivan and
Malcolm Bennett.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years John W. Elliott of Evansville, son,
John W. Elliott II (Kendra) of Evansville, daughters, Terria Lynn Cantrell
(Tommy) of Evansville, Leah Charmaine Elliott-Alferez (Raul) of Rome, Italy,
two grandchildren, Joseph Bean Jr. of Evansville, and Ava Charmaine
Alferez of Rome, Italy.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at Titzer Family
Funeral Home ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St.,
Evansville, Indiana (812) 424-9274 Pastor Steve Fuchs will officiate and
burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to service time Monday
at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel.
Revelation 21:4 ~ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, neither shall there be any more
pain: for the former things are passed away.
