Dorothy Madden, 86, of  Newburgh, IN, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at Woodmont Health Campus. 

She was born December 20, 1933 in Newburgh to the late Elmer Madden, Sr. and Ada L. (Taylor) Madden.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son David Madden, sister Helen Glover and brothers, Elmer Madden, Jr. and Howard Madden      Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cora Holeck, grandchildren, Dawn Marie Russell, James Eric Russell, Matthew Russell, Robert Russell, and great grandchildren, Daughter -in -law, Jonelle Madden, nephews Darrel Phelps, Jr. (Jennifer), Rex Phelps (Debbie), great nephews, Michael Phelps, Ryan Phelps, great nieces, Kendra Phelps, Rachel Phelps, great great niece, Jaylee Phelps and family friend, Larry Bolton. 

She was a former member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

The family would like to offer a special Thank You to the Heart to heart Hospice for making Dorothy’s last days comfortable.

A funeral service will be at 11 am. Friday, October 2, 2020 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.   A public visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm. On Thursday, Oct 1 and from 10 am. till service time.
