Elnora A. Godeke, age 87, of rural Evansville, passed away, Friday February 11, 2011 at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was a homemaker and had worked as a cook at Millersburg High School for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Lena Godeke; two brothers, Elmer and Gilbert Godeke. She was the longest living member of Zoar United Church of Christ in Campbell Township, near Elberfeld. Survivors include a sister, Martha Nonweiler of rural Evansville; nephews, Stanley Joe Nonweiler of rural Evansville, Roger Nonweiler (Cindy) of Evansville, Darrell Nonweiler (Denice) of Chandler; nieces, Julie Montgomery (Butch) of Casa Grande, AZ, Janet Porter (Bernie) of Crestwood, KY; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Zoar UCC with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Larry Harwood will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2011 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Streets Elberfeld, IN (812) 983-4211. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday 9 a.m. to time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Zoar UCC, 3533 Zoar Church Rd. Elberfeld, IN 47613.
