Emily Campton of Evansville, Ind.
Emily Ruth Campton, 72, passed away, Monday, May 14, 2012, at
VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was born June 29, 1939, in Boonville,
to Clem Worth and Emma (Pickens) Hobson.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, William
Hobson, Clem Hobson, Jr., and Robert Leland Hobson.
She worked at Eddie's Manufacturing for over 20 years and the
Evansville State Hospital in the laundry for 25 years. She loved to fish and
travel. She also helped care for and raise her younger siblings.
Emily is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Campton; five brothers,
Charles Hobson, Harold Hobson (Marilyn), James Hobson (Patty), Joey
Hobson (Jane), Kenneth Earl Hobson (Charlotte); two sisters, Christine
Maurer, Barbara Winternheimer (Rick); brother-in-law, Roscoe Ensor
(Elaine); sisters-in-law, Ethel Robinson (Tony) and Emma Hobson; several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at
Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St.
Evansville, Ind. Rev. Fr. Ted Tempel will officiate. Burial will follow at
Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
Wednesday, May 16, 2012 and Thursday, 11 a.m. to service time at the
funeral home.
The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to VNA
Charlier Hospice.
