Ernest Andrew Gilles Ernest Andrew Gilles, 78, of Evansville, passed away, Saturday, April 5, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1929, in Owensboro, Kentucky to Andrew and Josephine A. (Strehl) Gilles. He was a former member of St. Benedict Cathedral and Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for McDonnell Douglas for 25 years. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Walter, Sylvester, William, Hubert, and Clarence; three sisters, Loretta Bross, Mary Rose Ling, and May Dell Kreger. He is survived by two sisters; Barbara Whalen and Pauline Fark both of Evansville and one brother, Charles Gilles of Owensboro, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, Indiana. Rev. Fr. Ted Tempel will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel. Additional visitation will be Thursday, 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be made online @ titzerfuneralhomes.com.
