Forrest C. Posey, 67, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at home. He was born May 25, 1946, in Hopkins County, KY. Forrest graduated from Ivy Tech in 1984, with a degree in art. He retired from Whirlpool in 2006 after 39 years of service. Forrest enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and especially his art work. He was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Jeffersonville, Ind. He was preceded in death by his mother; father; daughter, Mary (Little Mary) Posey; a grandson, Montana Gene Posey, II; and a great-grandchild. Forrest is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Wanda Posey; son, Montana; daughters, Teresa Farrar, Kimberly Dodds (Kyle), Michele Goodrich (John); and his wonderful loving dog, Rocky Posey. Sisters, Millie Cassidy, Pat Salmons, Lillie Moore, Susie Moore; brothers, David Posey and James Hunt. Sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and everyone with Southern Care for the great care they gave Forrest and the support they offered the family. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St., Evansville, Ind., (812) 424-9288. Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to service time Thursday, at the funeral home.
