Frederick “Fred” A. Bracher, 53, of Elberfeld IN., passed away on March 10, 2022. Fred was born on August 6, 1968, in Evansville IN. to the late Raymond and Bettye Ann (Marshall) Bracher of Boonville, IN.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tarah (Speicher) Bracher, their children, William and Lillian Bracher. He is also survived by his sisters, Diane (Max) Lamar of Boonville, Sarah (Scott) Meyerrose of Pickerington, OH, and brothers, Dennis (Lynn) Bracher of Broomfield, CO, and John (Jennifer) Bracher of Boonville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Fred was a 1986 graduate of Boonville High School and a 1990 graduate of Indiana State University, where he received the Alan C. Rankin award for distinguished seniors. He completed his master’s degree in 1995 at USI. Fred was a highly-respected teacher and coach at Castle High School for 32 years. He was a certified AP English teacher and served as an AP grader for many years. He also served as adjunct faculty for USI. Fred had a passion for teaching, coaching, and working with young people. He helped to shape the lives of countless students and athletes and was revered by many colleagues. The greatest love in Fred’s life was his family. He was a devoted husband and father. Nothing gave him greater joy than watching his children compete in sporting events, and cheering them on. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM. Friday, March 18, 2022, at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh IN. 47630 with visitation beginning at 10 AM., with burial to follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Elberfeld IN.
Also, visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 1 till 7 pm with a Vigil Service at 7 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5301 Daylight Dr. Evansville IN. 47725 in Daylight, IN.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bracher family in the care of Tarah Bracher.
