Frenchie Chrysler Boyken, 83, of Newburgh, passed away, Sunday, August 21, 2011
at Newburgh Health Care Center. He was born, October 30, 1927 in Newburgh to
Murray H. and Thelma A. (Wilder) Boyken. He served, overseas, in the United States
Army during WWII.
Frenchie grew up working at Knob Hill Tavern, he managed the American Legion
Kapperman Post#44 in the late 50's and early 60's, and was owner and operator of
Frenchie's Restaurant for many years, now Cricket's in Newburgh. He liked fishing,
camping, and motorcycling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jackie Boyken; brothers, Mac
Boyken, and John Boyken, Jr.
Frenchie is survived by his brothers, Bill (Jan) Boyken and James (Carolyn) Boyken;
step-sons, John and Henry Busan ; sister-in-law, Rosemary Boyken; step-grandson,
Jay Busan ; former wife, Margaret Boyken.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Titzer Family Funeral
Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Ind. Burial will be in
Rose Hill Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Kapperman
Post#44. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011
and Thursday, 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
