Frieda E. Drake, 76, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at North Park Nursing Center. She was born March 8, 1935 in Evansville to John S. Hofmann, Sr. and Edythe Kolley Hofmann. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Frieda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Hofmann, Sr.; nephew John E. Hofmann; son-in-law, John Wiseman; great-grandson, Khylon Gray. She and her husband, Edward Drake, Sr. had just celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on January 16, 2012. She is also survived by daughters, Deborah Lamble (Harold), Edith Breuer (Stan), and Ruth Cox (Eric); son, Edward Drake, Jr. (Leighann); sisters, Edna Ingram (Jim), and Margaret Large; brothers, John s. Hofmann, Jr., George Hofmann (Janet), and Carl Hofmann (Jane), seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and six step great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of North Park Nursing Center for the care and compassion they showed to Frieda in her final days. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2012 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN. Reverend Chad Eckels will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2012 and Monday morning 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be made @titzerfuneralhomes.com.
