Gene A. Wilson

Gene A. Wilson, 88, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away, Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Golden Living Woodlands.  He was born February 14, 1929, in Newburgh, to Byron and Sadye (Anderson) Wilson. 

He was employed at the Whirlpool Corp. for 40 years, retiring in 1986 as a machine operator.  Gene enjoyed woodcarving, painting, fishing and hunting.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack Wilson; daughter-in-law, Carol Wilson; and grandson, Mark R. Wilson, Jr.  He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (McKee) Wilson; sons, Michael G. Wilson (Patricia), Mark R. Wilson, Glen W. Wilson (Karen); 8 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
