Gene G. Buckner Gene G. Buckner, of Newburgh, IN, formerly of Chandler, IN. passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1917 in Youngstown, OH. He was retired, after having been a steel worker in Youngstown. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ginger; his mother, Ora Murphy; sons, Gary and Gipp; and brother, Hugh. Gene is survived by one son, Greg Buckner of Ohio; two daughters, Gayle Utley of Evansville, IN and Gloria Whitfield of Myrtle Beach, SC; eleven grandchildren. A private burial will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, IN. Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Newburgh Chapel, 510 W.
