Geneva Fern Harris

Geneva “Doll” Fern Harris, 97, of Elberfeld, IN, passed away on July 4, 2024. She was born in Elberfeld, IN on March 20, 1927, to the late Charles and Audry (Barton) Butcher. Doll was a 1945 graduate of Elberfeld High School. She worked in retail for many years and loved her family dearly. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends.

Doll is survived by her three children, Dixie Huntsman, Mick Harris, and Jim (Joellen) Harris; grandchildren, Jeff (Brenda) Huntsman, Mark (Crystal) Huntsman, Kristopher Harris, Clint (Cherrie) Harris, and Sean (Sarah) Harris; great grandchildren, Carter, Charlotte, and Whitaker Huntsman, and Maxwell, Mackenzie, and Tyson Harris.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Audry (Barton) Butcher; son-in-law, Les Huntsman; daughter-in-law, Kathy Harris; Siblings, Charles Jr., Beulah, Olive, Opal, Bettye, Faye, Hershel, Alton, and Ronald Butcher.

The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their kind support. Special appreciation to Beverly Hasenour (niece) who was like a daughter.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Volkman Chapel, 2nd and Elm St, Elberfeld, IN 47613, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow Barnett Chapel Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local favorite charity.
