Glen E. Smith Glen E. Smith, 67, of Evansville, passed away, Monday, May 18, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born in Odon, IN on May 11, 1942 to Curtis C. and Jessie (Cook) Smith. He worked many years with his wife, Maggie, at the Smith Family Daycare in Evansville, known to many as Papaw Glen the cook. He was an avid fan of Nascar and stockcar racing and the #1 fan of Smith Racing. Glen was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing and camping. He is preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Michael and Justin Koch. Glen is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maggie Smith; three children, Donna Cole (Pat), Jeff Smith, Kelly Waterman (Doug) all of Evansville; three grandchildren, Brittany Koch, Robert Attebury, and Hannah Waterman; three sisters, Sue Young (Ken) of Ohio, Jeanne Rhodes (Woody), and Janice Smith both of Evansville. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2009 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN. Reverend Robert Nall will officiate with burial in Bates Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009 and Friday 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
