Grace was born February,1925 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and died March 11,
2011 at
the VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. She is preceded in death by
her husband, Donald Harvey Peterson, and a daughter, Donna Grace
Peterson. She leaves behind her children, Paul (Cheryl), John (Debbie),
Norma Wyber (Jeff) and Joyce Kimmel (Charlie); eight grandchildren and
four great grandchildren.
Grace was married to a Southern Baptist minister. Their zeal was not to just
reach people spiritually, but also to show Christ's love by meeting their
physical needs. Together they started food banks, adult literacy training,
clothing banks, special needs adult care, preschools, and small churches all
over the country. Grace's special passion was for young children.
Another of Grace's passions was a scholarship started in memory of her
daughter, Donna. Therefore, she wishes that all gifts given in memory of her
be written to the Student Scholarship Fund of the Indiana Baptist
Foundation, 900 N. High School Road, Indianapolis, IN 46214. Other gifts
may
be given to the Rathbone Activity Fund.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at
the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel officiated by
Rev. Jeremy Edmondson and Rev. Ray Harper, burial at Rose Hill Cemetery
in Newburgh.
Visitation will from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Titzer
Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh
IN., and from 9 AM until time of service on Tuesday morning,
