HAROLD JOSEPH BIGHAM
Harold Joseph Bigham, 91, of Evansville, went to be with the Lord and
departed loved ones on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at Evansville Protestant
Home. He was born August 22, 1918 in Oakland City, Indiana.
Harold had a servant's heart throughout his life, continuously striving to follow
the promptings of the Holy Spirit, always placing others' needs ahead of his
own.
He judged not, never ceasing to display the Christian characteristics to which
we all are called by God. Harold's warm smile and cheer were his trademark
attributes among the many friends he left behind at Willow Park Retirement
Residence. They were the same loving attributes to which his family and
friends had grown accustomed over the many years of his life.
Harold was a World War II veteran and an active member of Bethel Temple
for many years, serving in the church's prayer garden. He retired in 1981
after working for 35 years at Mead Johnson as a security guard. He was a
member of American Legion Eugene Pate Post No. 265 and a life member
of River Bend Association.
Harold loved his St. Louis Cardinals on summer nights and the many
friendships he built with members of the Franklin Lanes Seniors Bowling
League on Mondays.
Harold was preceded in death by parents William F. and Anna (Orth)
Bigham, wives Haroldine (Jones) (25 years) and Stella (Behagg) (26 years),
brother William L. Bigham, sister Kathryn Whaley, niece Kay Ann Bigham.

Stockman (Jay) of Evansville and Peggy Brooks of San Marcos, CA;
grandson Brandon Harper of Evansville; granddaughters Tia Manrique of
Mentone, CA, and Alana Brooks of Escondido, CA; nieces Joanne Radigan
