Henrietta K. (Mitz) Steinhauser
Our heavenly father awoke on Tuesday,
December 9, 2008, and decided he
needed another angel in heaven. So he
called upon Henrietta to join him.
Her husband, Albert M., her daughter, Linda
Jean, and her beloved pet,
Puffy, have been patiently awaiting
Henrietta's homecoming in Paradise.
She will be missed by so many friends and
relatives here on earth, Edna,
Frankie, Mary, Karen, Sandy, Mark, Scott
and Brandy, to mention a few.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie
Hall (John), Donna Sandleben
(Ron), and Sandy Schmidt (Phil), and her
sisters, Barbara, Beverly,
Margaret, and Jeri, and their spouses; her
brother, Jim (Lavonne); seven
grandchildren, and numerous great
grandchildren, and one
great-great-grandchild.
Henrietta, age 86, graduated from Reitz
High School and was a lifetime
member of the Ladies Aux, VFW 1114 and
Owl's Club. She and Albert owned
and operated the Dodge Inn for many years.
She also ran the bingo at the
Owl's for 35 years before retiring two years
ago. All who knew her could
not help but love her. The workers at the
bingo were not only beloved
friends, but family.
Her family wishes to thanks all the staff at
Deaconess on 3100, 2500, and
5600 for their compassionate, extraordinary
care. They are all angels,
themselves. Special thanks to the
physicians who provided excellent care
for her: Dr. Kotschwar, Dr. Krueger, Dr.
Jasuja, Dr. Michael Rusche, Dr.
Bailey, Dr. Elliott, and Dr. Oluwatosin.
Thanks to Swede for making her last year
filled with friendship, love, and
happiness.
To Mark Gates, grandson, who helped her
in so many ways, thank you for
making Grandma's life so much easier. And
Dorothy, who made her even more
beautiful in this life, we love you.
