Ida Mae Gibbs Ida Mae (Engler) Gibbs, 86, of Evansville, passed away, Monday, June 29, 2009 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center. She was born June 1, 1923 in Marion, KY to George L. and Betty (Johnson) Engler. She was a housewife and loved antiques and loved the Lord. Ida Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Walter F. Ditzer in 1959 and her second husband, John A. Gibbs in 1999; sisters, Ruth Engler, Georgia Dever, Juanita Hess, Gertrude James; brother, Richard Pierson; half sister, Irene Green. She is survived by four children, Betty Burris (Bill), Phyllis Clark (Donald), John Ditzer (Martha), and Gordon Ditzer (Pat); fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Pattie Ashby; half-sister, Lucille Henry. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN Officiating will be Pastor Rod Murray, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
