Isaac Winfield Sr., 69, of Evansville, went home to be with the Lord on
January 2, 2010. He retired from George Koch & Sons. He also worked for
Creative Craftsman and Boonville Mining. Isaac was a faithful member of
Progressive Holy Temple.
He enjoyed fabricating BBQ grills, playing his guitar, listening to gospel
music and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father Preston Winfield, Sr. and his step
father James Thompson.
Isaac is survived by his wife Glenda, mother Martha Thompson, son Isaac P.
Winfield, Jr. (Ena), daughters Martha Mansfield, Debra Winfield, Linda
Winfield, Stephanie Goebel (Dwayne), Johnita Terrell, Yolanda Hawkins,
brothers Preston Winfield, Jr., Dave Winfield, sisters Patricia Hopson, Debra
Tolbert, Barbara Murphy and a host of grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2010, at
Progressive Holy Temple COGIC, 1700 Pollack Ave., Evansville, with Elder
William W. Simmons, Sr., officiating and entombment at Oak Hill Cemetery
Mausoleum.
A visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2010 and 10 a.m. to
service time Saturday at church.
